Ava Jalapeno Popper Romero: My favorite memory is going to the Giants game for the first time with my sister molly and here’s a story, when we were there at the game, it was a rainy day, so we went on a rainy day and got some gourmet ballpark food like irish nachos on the way to the stadium and kept ourselves bundled up for the half of the game and my sister decided she wanted to go home so we did so my 2nd visit to the giants it was with me and her with her husband and children. we had a lot of fun there because there was no rain and we got an chance to stay the whole time, my dad gave me and my sister tickets the 2nd time around and I had a fun time cheering for Angel pagan and Tim Lincecum these are my 2 favorite players timmy had long hair before now he has a short hair like buster posey and I like angel pagan because he looks like my brother Frankie to me but is a great player so I love my SF Giants baby
###

Rhod Wallace: My favorite player is South City’s own great- Jim Fregosi, who unfortunately has recently passed on. I had always tried to wear uniform number 11 in his living honor. RIP Mr. Fregosi.
###

Mary Sindelar:  Chicago white sox kids day we would get to walk the field and meet the players great childhood memory.
###

Lynda L Moretti:  Getting Willie May’s autograph when I was about 8. Still have it! Great Candlestick Park memory!!
###

Rick Mesta: May 2001, Giants lost to the Dbacks in 18innings. Vogey’s rookie season. My wife was a trooper Fav player “The Thrill”.
###

Karen Johanson: Going to see the Giants vs. Angels World Series game with my brother and two nephews. My brother, a Giants fan to the core, actually flew in from Beijing with his sons to see the game and surprised me with the fourth ticket. We went in early, got interviewed and ended up in a photo and mentioned in the article in the next day’s Examiner. Giants lost the game, but sharing that experience before, during, and after the game with my bro and fam was priceless. (Well, not priceless for him if you figure plane and game tix!)
###

Ashley Hope: Growing up going to games at the stick, walking around after the games and collecting all of the cups. Being at the last giants game at the stick and getting my pennant. I now have the matching niners one. Also watching game 2 of the 2010 World Series on the rocks of mccovey cove. Being at both World Series parades, not participating in the riots. Seeing my little cousins choir sing the national anthem. Having a work scavenger hunt at AT&T since they donate to the non profit I work. Winning a meet and greet but not being able to go, still exciting though. Geez to many to pick from! Seeing journey perform numerous songs. The locust infestation! Ugh that was horrible! Being scared for my life when the seagulls come out. Everytime we have swept the dodgers. The food! Oh the list seems never ending!
And hopping in the elevator only to find I’m was standing next to Willie Mays himself. Not so nice. Seeing Pable Sandoval at matrix, also not so nice. Meeting Sergio Romo that same night and had an amazing conversation with him. And finding out Andres Torres got his haircut on the same block and the bar I used to work at in San Bruno.

Nicholas A. Vejmola: #GameOn My favorite baseball memory was my very first game with my auntie and uncle. I was about 5 years old when it was still Pacific Bell Park. I had a lot of sweets and fun that. #EverythingSouthCity

###

Angelica Flores: My favorite memory would be taking my son to his first game and getting his certificate and enjoying the day with him, it made me feel like it was my first time too. Now he’s 2, and he points out the “ball” (everything baseball related is ball). He gets excited for baseball season and I’m glad we get to share that together and make him a giants fan for life.

###

Kris Peradotto: My favorite baseball player will all ways be Barry bonds but ny all time favorite baseball memory would have to be when I got to be bat boy for the chicago cubs in 1999 at candlestick park

###

Patricia Baker: Willie McCovey, hands down! A great player and a class act.

###

Tae Tae Moroney: I loved Uribe. It was always fun when he came to bat.

###

Aly Chan: I love baseball I dont have a favorite memory because everytime I go with my friends and/or family we always make new memories always having a good cheer and new laughs all the time. Garlic fries are always the best and just being with everyone is always fun, win or lose giants games are always still the best!

###

Edwin Narvaez I would probably say going with my Dad and nephew to the last game at Candlestick. The thing I loved about those days at the stick is how my Dad taught me how to keep score and how to be a student of the game. This brought us closer. However, I do know that the next baseball memory I will cherish forever is when I take my son for the first time to a Giants game. My all time favorite player is Barry Bonds, doesn’t matter what anyone says, I always enjoyed watching him play.

###

Angelique Presidente: My favorite baseball memories are all of my sons playing!! Professional baseball is fun to watch but nothing beats watching your kid make that special catch or getting a hit! This pic of Javi reminds me of Chicken Little…

###

UPDATE adding the final 3 entries:

Linda Dunne-Cresci Buster Posey is since all he’s been through physically with his injury he still gets the job done

Anthony Nieva Barry Bonds !!

Steven Kelly Rob Nenn, by far the greatest SFG closer and one of the best all time in MLB

My favorite memory is of my son playing little league here in South City. Tight game we were up by one. My son was the catcher. Bottom of the last inning, tying run on third. Play was at home plate, my sons the catcher, the throw us low…. Cloud of dust….. Cheering from the stands….tagged out at home!!! Proud momma!!!
