With New Year’s Eve arriving in the next 24 hours now is the time to program some emergency numbers and contacts in your phone if you plan to be out on the town ringing in the new year.

*Once again AAA will be offering their FREE Tipsy Tow  to any intoxicated driver and their passengers on New Year’s Eve for up to 10 miles. You do not need to be a AAA member to qualify for this free ride. Call this number and tell them you need a ‘Tipsy Tow’ and your location; 800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP)

*If your partying brings you into San Francisco you can find FREE transportation through the MUNI (SFMTA) link with FREE rides starting at8pm and ending at 6am January 1st.

*BART is NOT FREE and they encourage riders to purchase round trip tickets in advance to avoid long lines and delays. There will be some re-routes so be sure to check their schedule which includes extended service until 3am at some locations. Click on the link for more information.

*It is a good idea to keep an eye on traffic alerts before you head out so check out real time traffic reports at 511.org which also has a link to help you find available parking through out the Bay Area.

Last New Year’s Fireworks in San Francisco brought out tens of thousands of party goers and this year promises to be just as spectacular, if not better.
