Hit and Run Accident Takes Out Vehicle at Alta Loma Drive and Newman Drive; PD Seeking Witnesses

South San Francisco, CA November 12, 2017

A South San Francisco neighbor contacted Everything South City asking if we would share information from this hit and run accident that occurred last evening around 9:55 PM on the corner of Alta Loma Drive and Newman Drive. Last evening our City also saw another unrelated hit and run accident that took the life of a woman and we realize the urgent need to get reckless drivers off the street, especially those involved in hit and run accidents.

A hit and run driver smashed into this blue 1995 Honda Civic EX around 9:55pm on Saturday night on Alta Loma and Newman Drive in SSF

Although there was an outdoor security camera in the area, the accident, type of car, or license number were not captured. Our neighbor stated the police believe the suspect car may have been a charcoal colored Honda driving at speeds between 40-60 miles, swerved and then collided with the blue ’95 Civic before taking off. It appears the bumper or fender, along with other parts from the suspect car, have been left behind.
