Welcome to the San Mateo County Superior Court Website. I would like to start out by welcoming the court’s newest judicial officer, the Honorable Sean Dabel, to the bench. Judge Dabel comes to us with a number of years of experience in criminal law and is a welcomed addition to the court. Judge Dabel started on January 3, 2017 and is assigned to our Northern Branch.
Our court is still faced with budget challenges as the Governor and Legislature have not restored trial court funding to adequate levels, after the several years of budget cuts. Therefore, we are still working with reduced staffing levels, reduced public hours and reduced services. However, our goal is to provide the best level of service to the public in these difficult fiscal times and we appreciate your ongoing patience and support. We hope to accomplish this goal by continuing to find innovative ways to conduct business and provide essential court services to our community. That includes providing user-friendly information and services on this webpage. Thank you for visiting and we encourage you to come back often for the latest news and information.
