New Cheer Squad Coach at El Camino High School Looks to Spur Sport to New Heights

South San Francisco, CA   June 23, 2017  

The El Camino HS Colts Cheer Squad look forward to great success this year under the direction of head coach David Ceballos

In October 2015 Governor Brown signed the bi-partisan Assembly Bill 949, authored by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego) which officially made Cheerleading a recognized sport in California, joining Michigan, New York, Maine, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, New Mexico, South Dakota, Alaska and Virgina .

El Camino High School Alumni, David Ceballos, class of 2014, is excited to announce his first year as the Colts Cheer Squad Head Coach and looks forward to working with the students.

“I am starting this Instagram page to bring awareness of this now official sport in the state of California” Ceballos tells us “I have dreams of building this program to great heights!”
