Vocational Rehabilitation Services in conjunction with South Bay Recycling in San Carlos is looking for people to participate in the training and transitional employment program! Through the VRS South Bay Recycling (SBR) Offsite Program, VRS assists San Mateo County residents in obtaining their long term employment goals by utilizing a real work environment to evaluate and provide vocational training with the purpose of facilitating client entry into competitive community employment.
These training and transitional positions can last up to a maximum of 2 years (24 months). Individuals in the training program will separate recycled materials to assist in the SBR recycling process. All candidates must pass a physical prior to working at the site. This position requires standing for extended periods of time and making repetitive hand motions to accomplish the sorting tasks.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Shift Available: 7:00AM to 3:30PM plus OT
