SSFPD Media Release: Gang Graffiti Vandalism Arrests

South San Francisco, CA   March 13, 2018  Submitted by SSFPD

On 3/12/18 at approximately 12:21 a.m., a witness reported that two male subjects were actively spray-painting gang graffiti on the side of a building located at 612 Linden Avenue.  As officers arrived on scene, they contacted two subjects that matched the witnesses’ description: One subject, later identified as 28 year old unemployed Wolfgang Dosantos Lopez (South San Francisco), fled the scene but was quickly apprehended. The second subject, identified as 29 year old roofer Ignacio Contreras (South San Francisco), was also contacted.  During the investigation, over 15 locations on the 500, 600 and 700 blocks of Linden Avenue were found with extensive amount of freshly spray-painted gang graffiti.

 

Contreras and Lopez were placed under arrest for felony vandalism and booked at the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City.
