SSFPD Media Release: Hit & Run Arrest on Miller Avenue

On Thursday, January 30th at 3:20 p.m., Jose Cheneque-Rodriguez was driving eastbound on the 400 block of Miller Avenue when he collided into an occupied victim vehicle, causing it to collide into a third occupied vehicle. The two occupants of the victim vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment. Cheneque-Rodriguez fled the scene without providing his information or checking the welfare of the victims or other involved parties. Witnesses obtained the license plate for the vehicle Cheneque-Rodriguez was driving atthe time of the collision.

 

Cheneque-Rodriguez  responded to the police department two hours after the collision and was subsequently arrested. Cheneque-Rodriguez was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for 20001(a) of the California Vehicle Code, hit and run with injuries and 12500(a) of the California Vehicle Code, driving without a driver license. Bail was set at 50,000 for this 23 year old.
