SSFPD Media Release: Recovered Collectable Japanese Pistols

On July 20, 2014 at about  10:00 AM, South San Francisco Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Kenwood Way on the report of a man with a gun. John Frick, who is a 49 yr old unemployed transient,was contacted in the area and found to be in possession of three collectable Japanese Pistols that did not belong to him. Frick claimed to have found the pistols in a near by dumpster. Frick, who is a convicted felon, was subsequently arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

 

The pistols were located with a receipt from the late 1990’s that  provided the owner’s information, however further investigation revealed that person had been deceased since 2000. The current owner of the pistols is unknown.
