SSFPD Media Release: Residential Burglary on the 900 Block of Mission Road

On March 27, 2015 at 9:09 p.m., a South San Francisco resident returned to his home on the 900 block of Mission Road to find an unknown male suspect inside. The unknown suspect immediately fled on foot towards Oak Avenue and Commercial Avenue. Investigating officers later saw a subject matching the suspect’s description near Mission Road and Chestnut Avenue . As officers approached the subject, he fled on foot and was able to evade capture. Police officers have identified the suspect that ran from them, but his whereabouts are unknown at this time. The investigation revealed that the resident’s home had been burglarized by the suspect.

Crystal L asked: Anyone have any idea whats going on here in our city with all the police activity had oak ave blocked off police everywhere some with guns out by the canals at Safeway on chestnut ?
We replied: Burglary suspect was being sought, last update had not yet been appended.

Crystal L replied:  Thanks for the update Little upsetting that the police said to me that residents did not need to be concerned but yet there all over the area with dogs and shot guns out and Oak Ave blocked

Christina asked: Hey anyone know what’s going on on Grand Ave @ Willow all the way to Old mission road? Lots of Police cars around the area and they are in the court house parking lot on foot with flashlights looking for something or someone? Little nervous here

To which Lila replied:  Just passed by there.. There were police officers from Mission Rd to El Camino.. Inside Safeway parking lot. They were looking down into the creek by Safeway.. There were some walking on foot with shotguns in there hands.. What’s going on??
